This is a very rare factory right hand drive example (1 of 31 delivered new to the UK) and was purchased and imported into Australia by its current owner back in May 2012.
The car has a known history from new and it was ordered on the 8th January 1971 with exterior colour grigio le sancy, upholstery light blue with dark blue carpets. The car was finally delivered to its first owner a Mr Bert Caira from Dundee in Scotland in May 1972! The car is understood to have passed to its second owner, Maurice Ravens, in 1988 and then its third owner, Michael Berry, in 2004. The car's current and fourth owner acquired the car through UK Ferrari specialists DKEngineering in February 2011. The car underwent a major refurbishment in 2005 which included an engine rebuild and bare metal repaint. The mechanical works were completed by Ferrari specialist Kent High Performance Cars.
Once the current owner imported the car he decided to have the paintwork redone and the interior retrimmed in black leather. The current mileage shows 31324 miles which is believed genuine.
Today the car presents and drives beautifully. The paintwork is excellent as is all of the chrome and the trim. Given the interior has been retrimmed in the current owners tenure it is 'like new' and the cockpit is a lovely place to be. The car starts on the button and the engine pulls strongly, as you would expect given it has only done circa 12,000 mile since it was rebuilt. The car is tight on the road with no rattles or squeaks.
The current owner is meticulous with his cars to say the least and he has had it regularly serviced and when anything has needed to be done it has been done. The car is fitted with 'as new' Borrani wire wheels which were an option new and they really suit the car. The current owner has also fitted fibreglass front and rear bumpers in body colour which gives the car a unique look. The original Cromodora alloy wheels and the original bumpers will accompany the car. The car is currently fitted with a modern stereo system which will be replaced by a period correct Becker radio once the car is sold.
To ensure this car is a more usable classic the current owner has fitted Black Stallion electronic ignition, a modern A/C system which blows ice cold air and electronic cooling fans to improve the efficiency of the cooling system. The current owner also complained of a noisy gearbox when he first got the car and swapped the aluminium case gearbox from this car with a steel case gearbox from a 365 GT/4 2+2.
The car has books in the correct leather wallet and tools.
The car is only offered for sale as a result of the current owner down sizing his collection.
The price is AUD $499,500.

The Ferrari 365 GTC/4 was introduced in 1971 with production ending after just 18 months in 1972. It was based on the legendary 365 GTB/4 chassis and engine partnership with a slightly lengthened wheel base to accommodate a 2+2 seating layout with Pininfarina opting for very similar styling to the “Daytona”.
It did however come with softer suspension to allow for far superior comfort to transform the GTC/4 into a legendary grand tourer. The 4.4L Colombo V12 was producing 340bhp with a top speed of 262km/h and of the 505 cars produced, only 42 were factory RHD.
This vehicle was first sold new in South Africa in 1972, where it remained there for some years until the 1990's, when it was imported to Australia by its previous owner. Upon its arrival, the vehicle received a full ground up restoration to return it to near new condition. This included a full bare metal respray, engine rebuild and new trim.
The car is accompanied by a very large history folder tracing back its maintenance to South Africa as well as all works carried out in Australia to verify the genuine mileage, it also retains its original tool box.
Please Note: If vehicle is sold within Australia, all applicable duties and Taxes will apply.
If vehicle is sold to other countries excluding Australia, all relevant government charges and Taxes that are applicable will apply.
