Ferrari initiates know that the "C/4" with its front engine V-12, aspirated by 6 Weber side-draft carburetors is arguably the most arousing automotive note ever created.
Only 500 examples were built, almost all in 1972, and this U.S. version is one of the very few surviving cars in correct and very original condition. In the tradition of the early '70s this low mileage earth tone "Colorado Marrone" exterior with tan leather interior is remarkably well maintained. Original paint in excellent condition, original hides, stunning crinkle finish paint to the valve covers nicely detailed engine compartment and interior, make this one of the nicest cars among the survivors of the original 500. The photos don't begin to do justice to the car and any serious buyer should treat themselves to a personal inspection.
The car has always been maintained, and attention during my ownership over the last 5 years includes complete refurbishing of the cooling system, rebuilding the starting motor, new belts and hoses, rebuild and correct synchronization of the distributors, complete brake service, new battery, 4 new correct Michelin XWX tires, carburetor service and synchronization, and professional detailing and polishing of the original paint, all done by authorized Ferrari personnel. The car runs strong and very smoothly.
The car includes the original tool kit and jack roll, as well as the leather wallet with manuals, papers, and even the original yellow Ferrari polishing cloth! This car is a multi concours winner including Gold Award in 2005 and 1st place award in 2007 both for Best Unrestored Car at the prestigious annual Garden State Ferrari Fall Festival.
The car has no known issues and has been scrupulously maintained.
All questions will be promptly answered and serious buyers are welcomed to come and examine the car first hand.
