Described As:
List as item number 260479580297 by luxury2006car from Saratoga, CA, United States with an opening bid of $90,000, and a reserve. No Buy It Now.

320 bhp, 4,390 cc dual overhead camshaft V-12 engine, five-speed manual transmission, four-wheel independent suspension with unequal-length A-arms, coil springs, hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers and anti-roll bars, and four-wheel disc brakes. Wheelbase: 98.4" Developed to meet the ever-growing demand from Ferrari's distinguished clientèle for a more luxurious, high-performance sporting car, the 365 GTC/4 represented a logical progression for the Maranello, Italy, sports car manufacturer. Although it was intended to be more of a sporting car, the 365 GTC/4 was not intended to replace the 365 GT 2+2 – as such, it featured a 150mm-shorter wheelbase than the Tipo 591, 2+2 frame on which it was based. Introduced to the public at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show, the 365 GTC/4 sported a powerplant related to the dual overhead camshaft 60-degree V12 already used in the 365 GTB/4 Daytona. Coupled to the standard five-speed manual transmission, the powertrain put out an impressive 320 horsepower for the North American market. Unlike the Daytona, which was constructed by Scaglietti, the bodywork was completed by Pininfarina. Though criticized by some at the time for its simple design and revolutionary, for the time, use of matte black synthetic resin at the noseband, the 365 GTC/4 has aged extraordinarily well – no doubt due to its pedigreed designer. Though its tight rear seats were more aimed at evading high tax brackets, the car boasted yet more luxury than its 330 GTC and 365 GTC predecessors. An integrated gauge binnacle and surrounding console was ‘futuristic’ for its time and sets the tone for Ferrari interiors to this day. Rapidly appreciating in value, these '70s sports car icons were long considered among the most under-rated Ferraris until recently. The 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 presented here is among the finest of this particular breed. One of just 180 North American-specification 365 GTC/4s produced, it is finished in an elegant Argento Auteuil silver over black leather trim. It was treated to a thorough recent servicing and, while it is ready to be enjoyed, the meticulous detailing of the interior, exterior and engine compartment would make it a show-stopper at any gathering of significant automobiles. Recent collector interest suggests that these Ferrari 365 GTC/4s are quickly becoming recognized as an impressive value with lasting appeal. With their 2+2 interior accommodations, they offer wonderful grand touring capability with the exhilarating performance of the 320-horsepower V-12 engine. Ask the man who owns one.

San Francisco Sports Cars is proud to present this stunning 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC4 for sale. This incredible Ferrari 365 is one of only 500 total "C4" built. Ferrari only produced this car for 1 year as a complimentary vehicle to the hard edged Ferrari "Daytona". The "Daytona" was heavy handed and powerful, where as with 2 seats, the "C4" was refined, elegant, and sophisticated as a GT car should be. She has the world famous 4.4 liter 12 cylinder motor that Ferrari used to take on the world in completion in the 70's but has side draft webers, power steering, and jump seats in the rear for children or packages making her the ultimate grocery getter or weekend eventing car.

SN #15639 is without needs having been owned by a very fastidious collector for the past few years. Prior to this owner she was owned by a Ferrari employee, an aeronautical engineer, and a collector of Ferrari's prior. If you are looking for a special piece for your collection or a first vintage car this is one to consider. Trades are gladly considered and financing and leasing are available with approval of credit.
