Described As:
365 GTC/4 s/n 15789 is an excellent survivor with an older repaint that deserves a strip and repaint in it's original burgundy or in any color of the new owner's choice. The fifty-year old leather is in presentable condition for it's age, but again this C/4 deserves a new interior in it's original tan leather or in the color of the new owner's choice. There is minor corrosion in the leading edge of the hood and lower front corner of the doors and, as is normal in an un-restored C/4, the lower front pan under the nose has minor corrosion. The front and rear glass, the door and vent window glass, the stainless steel windshield, rear window and door window trim, the unique and irreplaceable front and rear black bumpers and the front and rear turn and signal lens are all in good condition. Ferrari 365 GTC/4 s/n 15789 has a July 1972 build date and is one of only 8 Ferrari 365 GTC/4s sold new to Canada (as opposed to 190 365 GTC/4s sold new into the US). 365 GTC/4 s/n 15789 was shipped to Bill Popovich, Yonge Steeles Motors, the Authorized Ferrari Dealer for Ontario, Canada and was one of five Ferraris in the first owner's collection. Ferrari 365 GTC/4 s/n 15789 was sold in the early 2000's to a second Toronto based Canadian owner who kept this C/4 in storage for app twenty years. When 365 GTC/4 s/n 15789 arrived we installed a new battery, a new set of plug wires, changed the engine oil, blew out the carb jets, added some fresh gas and fired it up. As per our video Ferrari 365 GTC/4 s/n 15789 drives nicely and shifts easily through the gears. A compression check on a cold engine shows all 12 cylinders to be an impressive 135 to 155 lbs. Ferrari 365 GTC/4 s/n 15789 sits on it's original 7 1/2 x 15 Cromodora wheels with the three eared Euro model knockoffs and wears a set of aged Michelin XWX tires. Because she is pre-1974 production Ferrari 365 GTC/4 s/n 15789 is smog exempt in California and every other state. We believe that 365 GTC/4 is all matching numbers and still carries many hard to find components such as the Magneti Marelli AEC 103A ignition boxes. The Veglia instrumentation includes a 180 mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer, as well as a clock and gauges for monitoring oil temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 36,845 miles which we believe is correct and original. Unlike many projects s/n 15789 is complete, running and driving and needs a light restoration. As long term Ferrari enthusiasts know the 365 GTC/4 has the best exhaust sound of any of the Enzo-era Ferraris and so has a wonderful exhaust shriek through the entire RPM range. Don't miss the opportunity to own a Gentleman's high speed Grand Touring Ferrari, ready to be restored into the car of your dreams, at a bargain price of $199,500 or best offer.
