For Sale in eBay on 1/4/2011 for $132,500.00
Described As:
eBay Listing 250751922813. But it Now US $132,500.00.
We are pleased to offer this highly original and very well documented 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4. The GTC/4 was built by Ferrari for only 2 years, 1971 and 1972. Only 503 of these car were built. The car has more contemporary styling and all were equipped with power steering and air conditioning. Six Weber side draft carburetors feed the 4.4L V12 offering a lower profile engine allowing for a lower nose styling. It is widely considered one of the best sounding Ferrari's ever.
This particular car is a European model that was originally sold new in Belgium. Finished in its original color combination of Blu Ribot and Pelle Biege interior. Less than one year later the car was purchased by US Army Lt. Colonel Bill Story who was stationed in Germany at the time. lt. Colonel Story owned the car for 35 years until in 2008 it was sold to its 3rd and current owner, US Congressman John Campbell of California. The car has just over 27,000 original kilometers and is unrestored and in original condition except for new leather. The remainder of the car including the paint, is original. The car has been inspected and received its certification from Ferrari under their classiche program. It is all numbers matching, including paint, original body panels, original glass, original engine, original transmission and original differential. The car comes with its original books and pouch, original dealer brochure, original tools in their original case, and boxes of parts such as belts, thermostats, filters, clutch, hoses, that were taken off the car during routine maintenance. The original leather was retained and saved if one ever felt the need to return the interior to as originally equipped. Records of full and recent mechanical servicing accompany the car. The exhaust system was replaced with a stainless steel system. The original has been retained. This is a wonderfully preserved example for the Ferrari collector that appreciates originality.
