This is a beautiful C4 that I purchased from renowned ferrari restorer Bruno Wyss in Switzerland in 2007. Wyss did a complete nut and bolt restoration with bare metal paint including frame and including complete mechanical restoration12000 km ago. All fasteners correctly plated and still in very nice shape. Full leather interior by Luppi in near perfect condition. Trunk fully restored. Beautiful colour combination. Desirable european version without smog equipment.
The car is in beautiful condition. Paint is near perfect with the exception of 2 small chips and one small stress crack at front hood opening. Mechanically excellent. Everything works including AC which blows ice cold. Meticulously maintained and stored in climate controlled garage . I put in a NOS power steering box last year because of a leaking seal. The points have been replaced with pertronix sensors in the distributor. Car runs beautifully. Transmission shifts smoothly in all gears. Books and tools.
The car has leather dash and console rather than mouse fur; this is an issue for the concourse crowd but makes for a very elegant interior. This car was featured in Keith Martins book on collecting ferrari around the time it traded at the Bonhams Gstadt Ferrari Auction in 2003.
Full payment by wire transfer or bank draft required within 3 days of auction closing. Buyer responsible for pick-up or shipping and all related costs.

This 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 (chassis 16057) is a clean example of an under-appreciated V12 GT. We’ve been hunting for a good example to feature for a while now, but these cars don’t often come up for sale, and when they do, are frequently in less than optimal condition or colors. This particular car was restored 12k kilometers ago by renowned Italian exotic specialist Bruno Wyss of Switzerland, and apart from a few very minor paint flaws looks to be a prime specimen. Find it here on eBay in Nova Scotia, Canada with reserve met.
Though not as delicately detailed as the Daytona on which it was based, the GTC/4 is still a great looking car that has aged very well. The integrated black rubber bumpers somehow less offensive now than they seemed in the past. Gray over black is a nice change from the more frequently seen blues and reds, and in combo with a black interior makes for an understated overall appearance. We often see these cars fitted with Borrani wire wheels, and have always thought they looked totally out of place with the car’s relatively modern design language–these Cromodora five spokes are much more fitting. The aforementioned paint flaws are said to consist of two small chips and a stress crack near the front hood opening, but overall the car seems very clean with excellent finish quality.
Inside the dash and center console are covered in leather rather than the factory correct”mouse fur” fabric, but we agree with the seller that it makes for a more elegant interior even if it would lose you points in a concours event. Big, simple, white on black Veglia gauges sit behind a classic three spoke wheel tilted at a period bus like angle, and are complimented by a set of auxiliary monitors canted from atop the center console towards the driver. Rather than the more traditional open gate the shifter sprouts from a leather gaiter, and the whole unit is mounted on a steeply angled center console similar to that of an Alfa 115 series or Carrera GT. Everything seems to be in very good condition with excellent, mark-free leather.
Like the chassis and suspension, 365 GTC/4's shared their 4.4 liter, quad cam Colombo V12 with the Daytona, though with a more conventionally mounted transmission and other detail changes it was down on power slightly to 340 HP. They’re spectacular sounding cars, considered by many to be the best sounding road Ferrari ever made. There’s not much detail on mechanical condition, but the car is said to have completely restored both mechanically and cosmetically. A NOS power steering box was fitted last year to replace a leaking original, and points have been replaced with Petronix sensors. It’s said to run and shift beautifully, and includes all books and tools.
With only 500 or so ever made these are very rare cars, even by vintage Ferrari standards. We’re interested to see whether it hits reserve, as these cars change hands so infrequently it’s difficult to peg down a solid valuation. LHD means this one could end up just about anywhere–sadly, it won’t be our garage.

1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4
s/n 16057
Anthracite with Black Leather Interior
When introduced, the 365 GTC/4 was Ferrari's top of the line model, a sort of gentleman's express that brought the performance and experience of the 12-cylinder front-engined cars with a degree of comfort and refinement that made the car more usable. With a comfortable, relaxed seating position, more interior space, functional air conditioning, and power steering, the 365 GTC/4 achieves a pleasant balance between a thoroughbred sports car and a luxury grand touring car, and is considerably less exhausting to drive than the 365 GTB/4"Daytona" produced during the same period. The 365 GTC/4 is the most mechanically sophisticated and highest performance of the classic 2+2 Ferraris, and has enjoyed considerable appreciation in recent years.
This particular is an exceptionally high quality example that won a Platinum award at Cavallino in January of 2014, which independently verifies that is among the best examples available. Originally a European delivery car, this car remains in European trim, with no smog equipment, no side reflectors, European amber rear lenses, and Italian market clear front lenses. This example eventually found its way to Florida by May of 1986, when it was offered for sale by Shelton Ferrari. The car was restored in the mid 1990s by Bruno Wyss’ Sportgarage in Switzerland, who was previously an official Ferrari dealer and is well-known in vintage Ferrari circles for his high quality work and parts. The interior was retrimmed by the famed Italian Ferrari specialist Luppi. Wyss retained the car until 2007, at which point he sold the car to an owner in Canada, who kept the car for seven years.
In January of 2014, the car was shown at Cavallino, where it was awarded Platinum, receiving deductions for minor paint imperfections, a dashboard trimmed in leather rather than mouse fur, and a missing choke cable. The car’s owner then drove it back to Dallas from Florida without incident, demonstrating that the car is as well resolved mechanically as it is cosmetically.
Cosmetically, the car is of course exceptional. The body is straight and displays great fit. The paintwork was performed to high standards and appears extremely fresh and with only a few flaws including minor surface imperfections, a pair of stress cracks on the front of the car (one corner of the hood aperture and one near the left headlamp cover), as well as a handful of touched in chips. The brightwork is in excellent shape throughout, as are the glazing and lights. The wheels have been restored and wear new Michelin XWX tires.
The interior is in beautiful condition. The leather smells like a fine Italian shoe store and is in excellent shape throughout. In addition to covering the seats, leather covers the door panels, dashboard, and center console, all of which are in excellent shape. The instruments and switches are excellent as well, as well as the headliner. The radio is a period Becker Mexico. The steering wheel is also in superb condition other than small hairline cracks in the horn button.
The engine compartment is extremely clean, beautifully detailed, and very correctly presented. The correct finishes, decals, and hardware are in place, down to the Magnetti Marelli battery and the windscreen washer bag. The car has been fitted with Pertronix ignition although there are no outward signs of the alteration. The trunk was fully restored with new carpet of the correct type. The car has books, tools, and jack bag with jack.
The car runs and drives superbly with all systems appearing to operate well. The engine is well-tuned, makes good power and produces the famously fantastic noises for which C4s are well known. The gearbox is excellent including second gear synchro, and the chassis and brakes have an excellent, confidence-inspiring feel to them with no issues to report in their operation. The interior dome lights work, and the air conditioning blows cold.
This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a top quality 365 GTC/4 that has been restored to high standards, both mechanically and cosmetically. In addition to winning Platinum at one of the most prestigious Ferrari Club of America concours events, the car successfully completed a 1200 mile journey without incident, demonstrating that it its mechanicals were done to the same high standards as the cosmetics. The attention to detail in the car is excellent and it is truly a no excuses car for the buyer seeking the very best. The car is complete with books, tools, jack, and miscellaneous invoices in German from the restoration.
